ბარბარე ჩობალაური

Barbare was born and raised in the village of Kvemo Kedi, in the Shiraki Valley on the border of Azerbaijan. Kvemo Kedi was settled first by Pshavs¹ in the beginning of the 20th century, when the highlanders were encouraged to move to the plains where they were given land and the opportunity to work. 

Barbare taught biology in the village school for decades. Full of wit and wisdom, Barbare passed away on September 12, 2012.
