Born in 1943 in the village of Verkhveli, Marta married into nearby Jijeti, where she gave birth to two sons.
A proud Pshav woman and a zealous lover of poetry and song, she puts words to melody instantly when a panduri1 is placed in her hands. Hardworking, practical and energetic, Marta is a remarkable mother, grandmother, and hostess.
